Service Terms and Conditions
1. Services and scope. These Terms cover water treatment equipment and services supplied by Taplin Water Inc., including water softeners, filtration, reverse osmosis, installation, maintenance and repairs. They form part of the agreement when provided and accepted with the quotation or service order. Specific written terms agreed for a job take priority if they conflict with these Terms.
2. Quotations and authorization. The quotation or service order identifies the equipment, work, price and exclusions. Work begins after customer authorization and any agreed deposit. An inquiry or automated assistant response does not by itself confirm a purchase, price or appointment.
3. Payment. Payment amounts, due dates, deposits, taxes and other charges will be stated in the accepted quotation or service order. Additional work and charges require customer approval before proceeding.
4. Scheduling and access. Appointment dates are agreed with the customer and may change because of parts availability, weather or site conditions. The customer must arrange safe access, permission to work and access to required water and power. We will communicate delays and agree on next steps.
5. Changes and site conditions. Existing plumbing, electrical or property conditions may require work outside the agreed scope. We explain proposed changes to the work, cost and timing and obtain written approval before additional chargeable work. Required permits and related costs will be addressed in the quotation or service order.
6. Cancellations and refunds. Contact us to cancel or reschedule. Cancellation charges, special-order restrictions and refund conditions apply only if disclosed and agreed before acceptance and permitted by law. Mandatory cancellation and refund rights take priority. Any legally required cancellation notice or form will be supplied with the agreement.
7. Performance and maintenance. Performance depends on source water, equipment selection, operating conditions and maintenance. Follow the care instructions, including filter replacement or salt replenishment where relevant. Project-specific performance commitments will be stated in the written quotation or agreement.
8. Warranties and concerns. Any applicable manufacturer warranty covers equipment according to its terms. Additional workmanship warranties will be described in writing. Contact Taplin Water promptly about problems so we can assess them and arrange an appropriate remedy. These Terms do not reduce statutory warranties, mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Applicable law. Minnesota law governs the agreement, subject to mandatory rights where services are performed or the customer lives. Updates to these Terms do not automatically change an existing accepted agreement.
